During the winter months the buds of the coming year are not developing. The appear on the tree in late fall, but lay dormant until the warmer weather of spring arrive. This is the time the trees are pruned heavily. Each of our trees is pruned every other year, to keep them trained to the way we want them to grow. As the temperatures get warmer the buds begin to blossom.
